Project Spotlight: Parkside Townhomes
This month’s project spotlight focuses on our Parkside Townhomes development located in Taylor, Texas. Taylor is a fast growing sub-market in the Austin MSA. Located at the crossroads of Highway 79 and Highway 130, Taylor is just 20 minutes from Round Rock and 35 minutes from downtown Austin. Taylor has seen a recent boost in values due the location of a new Samsung plant in the city which is anticipated to bring thousands of high paying jobs to the city.
We spent the month of June continuing to work with city officials and our civil engineers to get our site plan re-approved. This has been a long and arduous process for us compounded by changing regulations and a remapping of the city’s floodplains which affected our drainage plans. After several rounds of comments with the city we are nearly finished and only a few weeks away from full approval. We’re excited to begin building this project!
